課題組簡介
季者,北京大學(xué)化學(xué)與分子工程學(xué)院化學(xué)生物學(xué)系助理教授,課題組長,博士生導(dǎo)師。課題組面向化學(xué)生物學(xué)和物理化學(xué)的交叉領(lǐng)域,聚焦生物大分子內(nèi)靜電環(huán)境對化學(xué)鍵的活化作用,發(fā)展新型的金屬酶、核酶,開發(fā)高效的蛋白共價(jià)反應(yīng)、共價(jià)藥物,并探索蛋白質(zhì)機(jī)器的生物化學(xué)應(yīng)用。現(xiàn)應(yīng)課題組建設(shè)需求,誠招博士后1-2名。
Research Interests
Within specific protein sites, exceptionally intense electric fields can be found, reaching magnitudes as high as 100 MV/cm, or 10 V/nm. These remarkable electric fields are produced by charges and dipoles held by amino acid residues, peptide backbones, and metal ions. Once the electric fields are projected onto a chemical bond undergoing a reaction, its transition state can be substantially stabilized, leading to rate acceleration by several orders of magnitude.
The Ji lab aims to leverage the power of protein electrostatics to activate chemical bonds that are believed inert and to drive chemical reactions that are often sluggish. We are especially interested in the chemical bonds and the reactions at the interface of chemistry and biology. By combining synthetic chemistry, molecular biology, enzymology, and spectroscopy, we aim to develop novel biocatalysts, medicines, and diagnostics that improve human health.

導(dǎo)師簡介
季者,2014年本科畢業(yè)于清華大學(xué)化學(xué)系,師從石高全教授。2014至2019年在美國加州大學(xué)伯克利分;瘜W(xué)系Omar M. Yaghi教授課題組開展博士研究。2020年至2023年在美國斯坦福大學(xué)化學(xué)系Steven G. Boxer課題組從事博士后研究。研究成果以第一作者、共同第一作者、和通訊作者身份發(fā)表于 Science, Nat. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., PNAS, Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater.等學(xué)術(shù)期刊。
