Research Fellow

University of Leeds

Job Description

Are you an ambitious qualitative researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities?

This is an exciting opportunity for a post-doc researcher to join a thriving applied health research team with a commitment to supporting and developing its members. The Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research (LICTR) is looking to appoint a highly motivated Research Fellow to work for 18 months (0.5FTE) on a National Institute for Health Research (Research for Patient Benefit) funded study: “Improving recovery after bowel cancer surgery: Mixed-method feasibility study of a co-produced education intervention (Recover Together)”.

RecoverTogether is a co-produced complex intervention which aims to support patient recovery following bowel surgery. This study will assess its acceptability and feasibility of delivery in three hospitals. Using information from diaries, ward observations, interviews, and focus groups, and working closely with our Patient and Public Advisory Group, you will help us discover whether the resource is feasible in NHS practice, how it is used, and whether it is acceptable to patients and staff.

What we offer in return

And much more!

If you are looking for a role that enables you to utilise your qualitative research skills and want to be part of a team that aims to change clinical practice for the better, apply today.

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
