Postdoctoral Associate- Bioinformatics

Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow with a strong background in bioinformatics and a keen interest in single-cell omics. The selected candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary research team dedicated to advancing our understanding of neurological diseases at the single-cell level.
Job Duties
·Leads and contributes to the development and application of computational methods for the analysis and integration of single-cell omics data, including single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and other emerging technologies.
·Collaborates with experimental biologists to design single-cell experiments, interpret findings, and generate novel biological insights.
·Develops robust pipelines for the preprocessing, quality control, and analysis of single-cell omics data.
·Contributes to the writing and preparation of research papers, grant applications, and presentations for both scientific and lay audiences.
·Maintains an active role in the academic community by attending and presenting at relevant conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Minimum Qualifications
·MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
·No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
·PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or a related field.
·Strong programming skills in R and/or Python, and familiarity with bioinformatics tools, databases, and resources.
·Proven experience with single-cell omics data analysis and a good understanding of underlying molecular biology principles.
·Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex scientific ideas to a diverse audience.
·Experience with machine learning and/or statistical modeling.
·Familiarity with high-performance computing environments and cloud computing platforms.
·Previous experience in mentoring students or junior staff members is a plus.
