Do you have a passion for exciting and innovative research and wonder how genetic variations influence healthy and disease phenotypes? Are you looking for an opportunity to explore cutting edge research in developmental biology and genetics of the sensory nervous system? We are recruiting Postdoctoral Fellows for the laboratory of Dr. Anand Swaroop at the National Eye Institute (NEI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The projects will focus on regulation of gene/protein expression by non-coding genome during retinal development, metabolic regulation of epigenome especially in aging, and network-based designs of novel therapeutics (drug discovery) for retinal and macular degeneration. We are seeking candidates who have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (graduated since 2020) in cell, molecular or developmental biology, genetics, biochemistry, pharmacology, or related fields. Experience in retina or vision research is not required. Join us in our mission to make groundbreaking discoveries! Annual stipend will be commensurate with experience and training. Check PubMed and these relevant papers: PMIDs 30742112, 36207300, 36975211, and 37153444.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter with career goals, potential research projects of interest, curriculum vitae with publications, and contact information of three references to Charlie Drinnan, PhD at charlie.drinnan@nih.gov.
