美國羅斯威爾公園綜合癌癥中心2024年招聘博士后職位(癌癥表觀遺傳學(xué)與代謝)
Postdoctoral fellow in Cancer Epigenetics and Metabolism
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
Job Description
Postdoctoral position is open for highly motivated candidates in the laboratory of Dr. Subhamoy Dasgupta, Department of Cell Stress Biology, Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, NY- a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center. Some of the ongoing research directions in Dasgupta lab are:
(a) Discovering tumor metabolic adaptations that promote metastatic progression.
(b) Understanding the mechanisms regulating organ specific adaptation of tumors leading to metastatic colonization. Strong focus on bone-metastatic tumors.
(c) Deciphering epigenetic landscape of aggressive tumors and identifying how nutrient signaling and metabolism modulates histone acetylation/methylation impacting chromatin accessibility.
(d) Nuclear receptor and coactivator dependent transcriptional regulation of hormone-dependent tumors and defining the mechanisms driving therapeutic resistance.
(e) Interrogate the tumor-immune microenvironment and discover the mechanisms driving tumor-immune escape.
State of art facilities such as proteomics, genomics (scRNAseq, RNAseq, ATACseq, ChIPseq, etc.), and metabolomics (steady state, isotope tracing, tumor interstitial fluid, etc.) along with molecular biology and immunological techniques are widely used in the laboratory. Multiple models systems, including Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMMs), patient-derived xenograft (PDX), and syngeneic tumor models are used to address challenging mechanisms in cancer progression and metastasis. Currently the laboratory is funded by multiple grants from National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH Director’s Award, Department of Defense (DoD), and other private foundations. Recent publications from the lab:
a) Dasgupta S, et al, Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2015, PMID: 25664849;
b) Dasgupta S, et al, Nature, 556, 249–254, 2018, PMID: 29615789;
c) Sawant Dessai A, et al, Cancer Research, 2020, PMID: 33115805;
d) Dai T., et al, Cell Reports, 2022, PMID: 36476868;
e) Wu YH, et al, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, 2022, PMID: 35666809.
The search is primarily targeted towards scientists who are completing their PhD or have recently graduated with first author publications demonstrating their skills in any related areas of gene transcription, epigenetics, biochemistry, cancer biology, and immunology. Experience of working with mouse models will be preferred. The candidate should possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. We welcome diversity!
