An immediate postdoctoral job is available at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The position focuses on studying RNA and its role in cancer biology. The project is around conducting research on RNA/cancer biology, specifically examining the role of post-transcriptional gene regulation in tumor growth. This research involves modeling the structure and function of RNA-related proteins and RNA molecules. The laboratory employs a combination of animal models, pathological and immunological analyses, and advanced technologies such as targeted gene expression studies and global gene expression profiling (including bulk RNAseq, single-cell RNA-seq, and spatial "OMICS" of transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) to identify the underlying mechanisms and potential treatment targets for oral cancer. The candidates are expected to possess biochemistry, molecular biology, and mouse genetics expertise, and will be involved in one of our captivating research projects. In addition, individuals need to possess robust interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate in a team setting. Further details:
