We are recruiting for a Research Fellow to work in our Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre (BMRC).
In this role, you will work within the carbon monoxide (CO) research group on an ambitious project looking at the impact of CO exposure on the brain.
Your role will be to lead on a major project to address this outstanding question, aiming to determine the mechanism(s) by which low-level CO exposures cause health issues in the brain over time.
The focus of your work will be on how CO impacts on embryonic brain development in a model organism (chick embryo).
Ideally, you will have a broad range of experience, but with a particular focus on developmental biology, neurobiology or cell biology.
You will have strong experience of laboratory science, including well- developed problem-solving, communication and facilitation skills.
Insight and experience of the use of model organisms, particularly the chick, would be an advantage.
