The Lennon lab ( https: // microbes.bio.indiana.edu/) seeks a postdoc to work on an NSF-funded project investigating how plant-associated microorganisms confer tolerance to environmental stressors (e.g., drought). Opportunity to work with existing comparative and experimental data sets. Ideal candidate will have experience with generating and analyzing microbiome data to test ecological and evolutionary concepts. The postdoc will work collaboratively with Dr. Jay T. Lennon ( https: // microbes.bio.indiana.edu/) and Dr. Jennifer Lau ( https: // www. laulab.com/) at Indiana University, Bloomington. Opportunities also exist to interact with Dr. Sarah Evans ( https: // saraheevanslab.weebly.com/) and other collaborators at Michigan State University. A Ph.D. is required by the start of appointment. The position is available for 12 months with expected renewal in subsequent years based on satisfactory performance. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2023 but negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Full benefits are included.
