The postdoctoral scholar will have research interests in epigenetic gene regulation, chromatin biology, and nuclear signaling pathways. The laboratory currently uses a yeast model system to define how nutrient signaling pathways regulate epigenetic processes (see recent publications PLoS Genetics, 2020; Epigenetics & Chromatin, 2016; Genetics, 2016; PLoS Genetics, 2015; Epigenetics & Chromatin, 2013; Nucleic Acids Research, 2012). The laboratory’s long-term goals are to translate our mechanistic yeast studies into human cell models to define the role these pathways play in tumorigenesis.
