Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Wearable Diagnostics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
The Ray Research Group at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, funded by the NIH, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified recent Ph.D. graduate in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Bio/Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field to join our multidisciplinary team focused on developing advanced wearable diagnostic platforms for diabetes.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will engage in innovative research involving the fabrication and testing of biochemical sensors and microfluidic devices. The position demands expertise in the following areas:
Electronics and sensor fabrication for wearable devices.
Synthesis and fabrication of biochemical sensors.
Epidermal microfluidics and lab-on-chip device development.
Responsibilities:
Develop and test advanced biochemical sensors tailored for wearable applications.
Innovate and improve wearable microfluidics and lab-on-chip technologies.
Collaborate on the development of robust, body-worn sensor systems.
Conduct independent research and contribute to high-quality publications.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Bio/Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong background in biochemical sensor development and microfluidics.
Demonstrated expertise in chemical synthesis, polymer chemistry, or materials chemistry.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team setting.
Proven track record of high-quality research and publications.
