英國羅莎琳德·富蘭克林研究所2024年招聘博士后(探測器開發(fā))
Senior PDRA in Detector Development (10346)
The Rosalind Franklin Institute
Application Deadline Deadline:
27 November 2024
The Relativistic Ultrafast Electron Diffraction and Imaging (RUEDI) Instrument is a collaborative large-scale facility between the Rosalind Franklin Institute (RFI), the University of Liverpool and STFC Daresbury Laboratories. The project will design and construct a novel instrument for ultrafast imaging at diffraction located at Daresbury. The main project commences in 2025 and construction and commissioning are scheduled to take five years.
As a Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Rosalind Franklin Institute, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team designing and constructing the RUEDI instrument with responsibility for the design of the imaging detectors, working in close collaboration with a commercial supplier.
Responsibilities
This role will involve the design of large pixel array high speed detectors for the imaging instrument operating at between 1 and 2MV primary energy. The applicant will work with industry standard software tools and will interact closely with team members working on other aspects of the imaging instrument and the team designing the diffraction instrument. There will also be a close involvement with potential commercial partners who will take responsibility for the fabrication of the detection systems.
