The research aims to generate crucial single-cell sequencing data to use in modeling the potential risk for mammary cancer.
The primary role of this position will involve tissue culture expertise, whereby human 3D acini mammary tissue cultures will be exposed to very low dose radiation, and isolation of single cells from cultures for sequencing using the 10X genomics single cell sequencing platform. It will require understanding the 10X genomics single cell sequencing software and analyzing data output. The successful candidate will also interface with computer modeling and AI investigators on this project and provide support where possible. Additionally, the Postdoctoral candidate will be encouraged to independently come up with research ideas that align with the objectives of the grant, compose scientific manuscripts, present their research at scientific conferences, and grow into a productive member of the scientific community.
